Ambassador Felix Denegri was sworn in as the new Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Head of the Diplomatic Service of the Republic in a ceremony at Torre Tagle Palace in Lima on Monday. It was chaired by Prime Minister Gustavo Adrianzen.
With
over 40 years of service, Deputy Minister Denegri was described by Minister Schialer as a diplomat with a strategic vision, strong analytical skills, as well as in-depth knowledge of geopolitics and geoeconomics.
During his speech,
Ambassador Denegri underlined that Peru's growth has been based on free trade, democratic stability, the defense of international law, and its commitment to multilateralism, "an instrument of foreign policy that has been key to consolidating our active presence in the international system."
The new Deputy Minister called on the new generations of the Diplomatic Service to pursue this vocation with passion and responsibility, emphasizing that the defense of national interests is at the core of diplomatic work.
In the same ceremony,
Minister Schialer recognized the work of outgoing Deputy Minister, Ambassador Peter Camino. The latter will assume new duties as Peru's Ambassador to Chile, a role valued for his "deep sense of duty, tireless work ethic, and professional rigor."
