ALERT: Dunnes Stores recalls baby clothing product due to safety concerns
Dunnes Stores has issued a recall alert on their own brand of socks for baby girls due to safety concerns.
The specific name of the item is Baby Girls 5pk Design Sock - Pink Marl. According to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), the risk presented by the socks is injuries.
As explained in the CCPC's notice: "While wearing the product, the loose thread from the product may wrap around the baby’s toe causing swelling and a lack of blood flow to the toe."
The impacted batch of socks affect sizes 0-2½. The style number of the product is 7302430 and the serial number is 5099015690097.

There are around 1,564 of the impacted products in the Republic of Ireland.
If you may have purchased these socks, the CCPC has advised that you stop using them immediately and keep them out of reach of children. Luckily, you can return them to Dunnes Stores for a full refund.
