Horoya star vows to beat Orlando Pirates in CCL

Cape Town - Horoya midfielder Daouda Camara has vowed to do everything in his power to help his side defeat Orlando Pirates in Friday's CAF Champions League Group B tie.

Currently, Group B is neck-and-neck with Horoya, Sundowns, Esperance and FC Platinum all on one point-a-piece after their respective opening matches.

Nonetheless, Camara says he is committed to giving his all to beat the Sea Robbers at the Orlando Stadium on Friday.

The 21-year-old missed his team's opening draw with Esperance but is keen to make an impact against Bucs.

In Pirates' opening game on 12 January at the Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo, Milutin Sredojevic's men were held to a 0-0 draw by FC Platinum.

Speaking to his club's official website, Camara said: "Every player likes to play such [Champions League] games, but unfortunately I was injured on the first day, which is why I did not play against Esperance.

"I am very happy to be back in the group, I will fight hard to give the maximum of myself against Orlando Pirates.

"Currently the group is really at the top, since we are very united, [and] there is a total cohesion.

"That's why I promise to do everything possible to help this club to take the three points for the first time in South Africa."

Kick-off is from 18:00.
